Dutch and Co. achieves significant milestones in Africa’s largest solar rooftop project, with over two-thirds of the installation now complete. Situated atop the IWC Mega-warehouse in the Tema Freezone, the project covers an impressive rooftop area of 92,000m2. Acting as the PV-EPC and O&M contractor on behalf of Helios Solar Company (Helios), Dutch and Co. employs 29,261 cutting-edge N-type technology solar panels for the installation.
With a capacity of 16.82 MWp, the project is projected to generate 24,750 MWh of clean, stable, and sustainable electricity annually. Moreover, it will substantially reduce emissions, offsetting approximately 11,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year, aligning with Ghana’s initiatives to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.
Herbert Friese, General Manager of Dutch and Co., expresses pride in the solar rooftop project, highlighting the exceptional progress achieved by their “Led’s go Solar” team. He emphasizes the team’s dedication to delivering high-quality work while adhering to stringent health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with both local and international project requirements. Dutch and Co. remains committed to delivering an outstanding project outcome for their client.
