Introducing Tiger Neo 3.0: Revolutionizing Solar Energy with Jinko Solar’s Joanna Zhuona

Joanna Zhuona: Powering Sub-Saharan Africa’s Solar Revolution with Jinko Solar

Joanna Zhuona’s journey with Jinko Solar began in 2016, and over eight transformative years, she has emerged as a trailblazer in renewable energy. Starting as a Sales Support Manager, Joanna quickly rose through the ranks, eventually leading the Order Fulfillment Team for the Middle East and Africa. During this time, she became a key player in executing over 13 GW of C&I and utility-scale solar projects—an achievement that highlights her exceptional dedication and expertise.

Now, Joanna is steering Jinko Solar’s Sub-Saharan Africa Sales Team, focusing on East Africa, West Africa, and the SADC region. Together with her passionate team, she’s fostering partnerships aimed at sustainable growth and mutual success. Her mission aligns seamlessly with Jinko Solar’s commitment to delivering innovative, reliable, and bankable solar solutions.

Tackling Market Challenges with Quality

In a market inundated with low-tier solar PV panels driven by cost sensitivity, Joanna and her team are advocating for a paradigm shift. “We’re educating the market on the importance of investing in bankable technologies like TOPCon and sourcing solutions from reputable manufacturers. These are the cornerstones of a durable and effective energy project,” Joanna emphasized.

By focusing on reliable technology and superior PV product performance, Jinko Solar is ensuring its solutions withstand the test of time and deliver consistent value.

The Tiger Neo 3.0: Redefining Solar Innovation

When asked about the recently launched Tiger Neo 3.0 module, Joanna shared the groundbreaking features that set it apart:

  • ME Technology: Enhanced power output with minimal losses from both sides of the module.
  • 20BB (20 Busbar Technology): Boosts cell efficiency and reduces the risk of defects.
  • HCP (High-Capacity Panels): Improves reliability and energy generation.
  • MAX Innovation: Increases bi-faciality factors to 85–90%, maximizing energy capture.

“This third-generation module represents a leap in performance and efficiency. It’s designed to significantly lower the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) for projects, making solar energy more accessible and sustainable,” Joanna explained.

Driving Sustainability Goals for Sub-Saharan Africa

Jinko Solar’s commitment to Sub-Saharan Africa extends far beyond products. By 2025, the company aims to lead the region’s transition to renewable energy through cutting-edge technology and robust partnerships.

“Every Jinko Solar PV module undergoes rigorous quality assurance. Our focus is on delivering reliable, cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality. Sub-Saharan Africa deserves durable energy systems that fuel long-term growth,” Joanna noted.

To support local development, Jinko Solar is enhancing customer engagement through:

  • Strategic partnerships in DG (Distributed Generation) and C&I (Commercial & Industrial) sectors.
  • Ongoing technical training, webinars, and on-ground support for stakeholders.
  • Resolving project challenges with tailored solutions and design optimizations.

Looking Ahead: The Vision Beyond 2025

Joanna envisions a bright future for Jinko Solar in the region. “Beyond 2025, we’ll continue leading the way with innovative, efficient, and reliable solar products. Strengthening local partnerships and contributing to sustainability will remain our top priorities,” she said.

Under Joanna Zhuona’s leadership, Jinko Solar is not just driving solar adoption in Sub-Saharan Africa—it’s shaping the future of renewable energy in the region. With the Tiger Neo 3.0 and a dedicated team, Jinko Solar is empowering communities and paving the way for a sustainable tomorrow.
