AM Power Solar has successfully completed the installation of a state-of-the-art solar energy system at St. Therese Liseux Rwibaale Health Centre IV, a vital healthcare facility in the process of being upgraded to a regional referral hospital with support from African Mission Healthcare.
Located in a region often plagued by frequent power outages, the solar installation aims to deliver uninterrupted electricity to the facility—ensuring that critical medical operations such as emergency care, laboratory testing, and vaccine refrigeration can continue without disruption. The project is expected to reduce operational costs, improve energy efficiency, and enhance the overall quality of healthcare services.
In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the initiative contributes to:
-
SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being
-
SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
-
SDG 13 – Climate Action
By promoting clean, renewable energy in a healthcare setting, the project exemplifies how sustainable technologies can be leveraged to strengthen essential services in underserved regions.
AM Power Solar reiterated its mission to empower communities through reliable, sustainable energy solutions, particularly in critical sectors like healthcare. “We are proud to be part of this transformative project, which not only supports better health outcomes but also builds resilience in the face of infrastructure and climate challenges,” the company said in a statement.
