Morocco to Host Its Largest Rooftop Solar PV System with Empower New Energy & Saray Immo

Morocco is taking a major leap toward sustainable energy with the development of its largest rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system, thanks to a groundbreaking partnership between Empower New Energy and Saray Immo.

A Game-Changer for Renewable Energy in Morocco

Under a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) announced on Wednesday, Empower New Energy will finance, construct, and operate two massive rooftop solar PV systems with a combined capacity of 5.8 MWp at Saray Immo’s facilities. Spanning 49,000 square meters, the installation will significantly boost Morocco’s clean energy adoption.

A $3.5 Million Investment for a Greener Future

💰 Investment: $3.5 million (EUR 3.2 million)
Annual Energy Generation: 9,600 MWh
🌍 CO₂ Emissions Reduction: ~6,000 tonnes per year

This initiative not only reinforces Saray Immo’s commitment to sustainable operations but also strengthens Empower New Energy’s role in Morocco’s renewable energy landscape. Post-commissioning, Empower will manage and oversee operations, ensuring the system delivers long-term efficiency and environmental benefits.

As Morocco continues to position itself as a leader in clean energy, projects like this mark a significant step toward reducing reliance on fossil fuels and promoting a greener future. 🌞⚡
