Multivista–Kirloskar and Trackbond–Tide Power Forge Strategic Partnerships to Expand Nigeria’s Energy Access and Local Manufacturing

Nigeria’s energy sector received a significant boost as two major partnerships were unveiled, signaling renewed efforts to enhance power generation capacity, market penetration, and local manufacturing. These collaborations underscore a growing commitment to delivering innovative, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions across the country.

Multivista West Africa and Kirloskar Powergen Deepen Market Presence

Multivista West Africa Limited has formed a strategic alliance with India-based Kirloskar Powergen, a global leader in power generation technologies. The partnership aims to expand the footprint of Kirloskar’s advanced energy products in Nigeria—Africa’s largest generator market.

Speaking at a launch event in Lagos, Madan Patil, Global President of Powergen Business at Kirloskar, stated:

“We recognized that our market presence in Nigeria needed to grow. Partnering with Multivista gives us a unique opportunity to strengthen our position not only in Nigeria but across the region.”

Mahesh Jayaraman, Director of Multivista West Africa, emphasized the company’s deep experience and pan-African strategy, noting its active presence in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

“With over 100 years of operations globally, we see Nigeria as a vital growth market. Our new 1000 kVA generator will soon be available locally—timed perfectly for a market that demands cutting-edge energy solutions.”

Trackbond Energy and Tide Power Align for Clean Energy Expansion

In a parallel development, Nigeria’s Trackbond Energy Services Limited has entered into a collaborative agreement with China’s Tide Power to scale up clean, reliable power solutions throughout the country.

The partnership was announced during the Tide Power Nigerian Branch Product Seminar, attended by key stakeholders across Nigeria’s energy ecosystem.

Joseph Adenuga, Chairman of Trackbond Energy, emphasized the strategic nature of the agreement:

“Our mission is to serve all 37 Nigerian states with dependable energy. This partnership with Tide Power brings global innovation to local challenges—and reinforces our 20-year legacy in both public and private energy sectors.”

Rex Tan, President of Tide Power, confirmed the company’s expanded commitment to the Nigerian market:

“We’ve operated in Nigeria for over seven years. Now, we’re planning a local manufacturing facility to improve service, reduce delivery times, and ensure better availability of spare parts.”

Tide Power’s product portfolio includes diesel and gas generators, water pump sets, and battery storage systems—designed to meet Nigeria’s rising demand for affordable and sustainable energy solutions.

Strengthening Nigeria’s Power Landscape

These strategic alliances come at a pivotal time for Nigeria, where unreliable electricity continues to constrain industrial growth, public services, and overall economic development. As international and local players deepen their commitments through investment and technology transfer, the country edges closer to addressing its long-standing energy supply challenges.

By focusing on both innovation and localization, these partnerships represent a meaningful step forward in the drive to expand energy access, stimulate local manufacturing, and support national development goals.
