POWERCHINA Highlights Clean Energy Expertise at Mali’s First International Expo on Digital Innovation and Renewables

POWERCHINA made a prominent showing at Mali’s inaugural International Digital Innovation and Renewable Energy Expo, held recently in Bamako. As a key sponsor, the global infrastructure giant underscored its commitment to advancing Mali’s energy transition and digital development agenda.

Representatives from POWERCHINA’s Mali Office showcased the company’s wide-ranging achievements in renewable energy, water infrastructure, and mining. The company’s exhibition booth attracted significant interest from government officials, investors, and energy stakeholders. Flagship projects such as the Gouina and Félou hydropower plants, as well as the Bamako International Airport terminal, were highlighted as symbols of POWERCHINA’s long-standing presence in Mali.

At the heart of the company’s current efforts is the Phase I development of the Safou Solar and Storage Power Station Project—Mali’s largest integrated solar and battery storage initiative currently under construction. The project exemplifies POWERCHINA’s role in building resilient, low-carbon energy systems for the country.

POWERCHINA’s participation at the expo also reflected its strong collaborative ties with the Malian government and local partners. Through its technical expertise and proven infrastructure capabilities, the company continues to play a central role in supporting Mali’s sustainable development goals.

The event served as a strategic platform for cross-sector dialogue on clean energy, climate action, and digital transformation across the Sahel. POWERCHINA’s presence reaffirmed its position as a trusted development partner driving renewable energy adoption and inclusive infrastructure growth in the region.
