Saudi Arabia And Kenya Discuss Collaborative Energy Initiatives

In a significant diplomatic encounter, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Energy for Saudi Arabia, engaged in discussions with H.E David Chirchir, Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum of the Republic of Kenya, in Riyadh.

The meeting delved into various areas of shared interest within the energy sector.

A focal point was the “Empowering Africa” Initiative, launched by Saudi Arabia during MENA Climate Week 2023. This initiative, aligned with the Middle East Green Initiative (MGI), aims to provide clean cooking solutions for the African continent. The ministers also explored potential collaborations in oil and its supplies, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.

The dialogue emphasized strengthening bilateral ties and knowledge exchange for the development of projects, policies, and regulations in the energy domain.
