TotalEnergies Achieves Major Milestone with Over 100 MWp of Solar Capacity for B2B Clients in the Middle East and Africa

TotalEnergies has reached a significant milestone, now operating over 100 megawatt-peak (MWp) of solar capacity across 80 installations for Business-to-Business (B2B) customers throughout the Middle East and Africa (MEA). This achievement underscores the company’s commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions for businesses in the region.

By offering tailored, turnkey solar solutions, TotalEnergies enables MEA businesses to reduce their carbon footprints while saving on energy costs. These comprehensive services cover the full spectrum of solar project development, including financing, construction, and ongoing operation. Solar PV systems are designed for various setupsā€”rooftops, carports, and ground areasā€”providing businesses with end-to-end support from initial design through commissioning, maintenance, and monitoring.

TotalEnergies Distributed Generation MEA operates across several countries, including the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, Mauritius, Nigeria, Senegal, and Ivory Coast. Each project adheres to the highest safety standards, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable Distributed Generation (DG) systems in each market.

Since launching its distributed generation services in the UAE in 2018, TotalEnergies has expanded its presence across the MEA region, delivering customized solar solutions to meet the unique needs of B2B clients.

“This 100 MWp milestone reflects our continuous growth and commitment to supporting our business customers in the MEA with their energy transition,” said Hamady SY, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation MEA. “It showcases our ability to deliver innovative solar solutions that reduce costs, improve efficiency, and support sustainability goals.”

Looking forward, TotalEnergies plans further growth in the MEA region, with a robust pipeline of over 500 MW of solar projects under development.
