SolarEdge Launches First Commercial Storage System for PV Applications, Ready for Order in Italy

SolarEdge Technologies, Inc., a leading organization in smart energy solutions, has announced the inaugural Commercial Storage System (CSS) for PV applications in Italy. The company is now open for orders.

Tailored for small to medium commercial solar setups, the SolarEdge CSS is ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Featuring a 102.4 kWh-rated battery cabinet and a 50 kW battery inverter, it’s expandable up to 1 MWh per site. It comes with a market-leading 10-year warranty, pre-assembly, and a mobile commissioning app, ensuring swift deployment and minimal on-site time.

The SolarEdge CSS operates with SolarEdge ONE for C&I, an innovative cloud-based energy optimization platform. This platform automatically synchronizes and optimizes site energy production and storage, effectively reducing energy costs. SolarEdge ONE integrates real-time internal and external data to facilitate intelligent energy management through a unified software interface. With support for various energy optimization modes and use cases, including maximized self-consumption and peak shaving, it ensures flexibility and efficiency in energy management.

Speaking about the development, Zvi Lando, CEO, SolarEdge Technologies, said, “We are excited to introduce our first storage solution for commercial-scale solar applications to the Italian market. Coupled with our high efficiency DC-optimized PV inverters and the SolarEdge ONE for C&I energy optimization platform, the new CSS allows us to offer customers a complete self-consumption solution.“
